Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required

• 2+ years of experience as a paraprofessional, teaching assistant, or similar position

• Skills with educational software

• Proficient with Microsoft Office

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Provide support in classrooms to students with behavioral issues and specialized learning plans

• Collaborate with and participate in consultation with special education teachers to ensure each student's needs are met

• Use developmental and age-appropriate strategies, equipment, materials, and technologies in a manner that facilitates student learning and accomplishes instructional goals

• Effectively implement individualized IEP plans and learning strategies

• Reinforce behavior management plans and collect data on student performance

• Collaborate with teachers on classroom materials and exercises
