Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 2+ years of experience as a paraprofessional, teaching assistant, or similar position
- Skills with educational software
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Provide support in classrooms to students with behavioral issues and specialized learning plans
- Collaborate with and participate in consultation with special education teachers to ensure each student's needs are met
- Use developmental and age-appropriate strategies, equipment, materials, and technologies in a manner that facilitates student learning and accomplishes instructional goals
- Effectively implement individualized IEP plans and learning strategies
- Reinforce behavior management plans and collect data on student performance
- Collaborate with teachers on classroom materials and exercises
