Agent Airport Operations

JOB DESCRIPTION





This description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed

by employees within this classification.  It is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a.

required of employees assigned to this job classification.

The work of an Agent in Airport Operations may include any of the following: monitoring

inbound/outbound flight activity, computer data in,  put and manual revisions; prepares daily

reports on domestic/international arrivals and departures, including FIDS and inputting all

schedule and gate changes; coordinates with all necessary departments and contractors for

all emergency and fuel stops at the  local terminal; handles gate control and charter gate

assignments; notifies Sky Caps for requests of wheelchairs, etc.; acceptance and documentation of passengers;

prepares and collects weather packages for departing flights; boards customers; dispatches and schedules personnel as required

directly or via two-way radios; updates the schedule as needed to ensure aircraft requirements

are met; maintains records of aircraft, flights serviced and services performed; monitors

computers, telephone calls, and surveillance cameras. May complete customer billing

documents.


Qualifications


  • Above-average interpersonal and communication
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must be able to work alone, and use independent
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to read,
  • write, fluently speak and understand the English language
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods
  • Ability to learn PC applications and apply knowledge
  • Ability to work in seasonal and adverse weather conditions for extended periods
  • Ability to work in stressful working conditions and under pressure
  • Ability to sit for a prolonged period
  • Ability to drive company vehicles as needed for company authorized purposes
  • Must be able to concentrate on detail
  • Ability to speak and be understood
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds


Responsibilities
